Because the seller is hoping the one guy who doesn't do a PPI nabs it. I'm shocked how many of my friends buy cars without...unreal.

My 7 yrs owned C4S 993 is on Ebay and your welcome to PPI it BEFORE you PayPal me top-bidder monies; even if you are a Flipper. I PPI'd a 993 of late and for a full PPI, with plugs out for leak down, it would be 9 hours labor at Autohaus Pa. I opted for the tad under $200 2 hour visual PPI inspection to rule out major ax damage. No one does a proper full PPI for under $700.

I'm not shocked by it at all as the PPI is only as good as the mechanic doing it. Even if Porsche has strict standards for a PPI there is nobody from Germany looking over their shoulder while it's being done. Furthermore, the idea that a PPI means the car will be trouble free is debatable.

This Post is about a MISREPRESENTED CAR & REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT KEPT (original add said "never wrecked" is now out of new add). You give deposit, then PPI, then decide, nobody agrees to a non refundable deposit. If the car does check out & the buyer cant finance, wife says no, etc, then keeping would be justified, making up stories that your a dealer,or your flipping is just a reason to keep deposit & not own up to trying to sell a POS.
Paypal is out the $$ & refunded me, but seller still kept what I sent him, therefor us Paypal users will be pay him now, that sh*t pisses me off the most, $250 PPI no big deal, just don't like A holes taking advantage of the Rules which said he could keep because he was not a retailer, but was not our agreement & he knows it, I have E Mails saying he would refund, then his cronies here told him about this post & he went back to his liberal view on it.
