Default Real or Fake 993 C4S Badge

Does this rear badge look real or fake? Specifically the "S".

Looks like the "S" is a bit misaligned, not sure if it's real or fake.

That's what I'm thinking. But the "S" does interlocks with the "4" or maybe the "4" is misaligned.

I think it is fake. The s should only have a small dent where it meets with the 4. That one does not look quite right.

Edit that. After a second look at mine, I think it is correct. Maybe just an alignment issue with the S as others have said.

The bottom swoosh of the s on mine is more horizontal.

It looks like the "4" is off which makes the "S" off as well.

Thinking of buying? Be wary ... looks like they misspelled "Turbo" altogether

Thanks

They look real but poorly applied.

You are aware that they are three separate parts?

There looks to be two problems:
  • The "4" and the "S" are not properly aligned with each other
  • The "4" is not properly aligned with "Carrera"

Default For comparison

Here's what my script looks like. I know it is not original - this is a 4S script on a Turbo S wing. But, it is another data point.

Buying a Turbo for the price of a normally-aspirated 993 is a good deal.
If you pay for a C4S & open the "Turbo tail" to find an intercooler, then you got a heck of a deal for a C4S price
It was a bad joke, but I hope you get a good buy -- good luck!

OT but speaking of badging, anyone know where to get a black version of the "993" above (other than BumperPlugs.com or modifying a '968' badge)?

Cheers --Jäger

The centre bar on the 4 is quite obviously not horizontal so the S is pissed too, all looks to be pucka badges, just applied by Stevie Wonder

The 993 is basically 3 badges, all available from Porsche, 2 x "911" and 1 x "GT3", pretty spendy though at about $225 for the 3

The 968 badge is smaller so cant be used with the "3"

Funny story at the drag strip the other day...
Older 911 made to look like 993; owner claimed to me it's an S and had a snake S from the auto parts store next to the Carrera badge
Poor car I thought
So fake it was embarrassing to take pictures
