Bill, Are the 993RSR parts available and are they direct bolt on for a US g50 (g50/20?)? This is a stock class race car, so I have to look at the rules for modifying the trans case, if required.

I will aslo check out Californiamotorsports.

Do you have to go factory? I would suspect that the RSR one above would be ultra expensive.

There are many easy options and ones that don't require modifications to the case. You can actually use the drain hole to take the fluid from the tranny, and return it via the fill hole. This is not optimum but will work if managing temps are the main issue.

Normally you tap into the case for a temp sensor to use as the switch for the pump, you can put it inline coming out from the drain hole, not perfect but can work in a pinch.

When looking for pumps don't buy the diaphragm style pumps from Tilton or Mocal, for a little more money you can pick up a gear pump that will last alot longer and do the job that is intended.

I doubt it, but it never hurts to ask.

The 996/997 spray bar can probably be adapted, most use Mocal or Tilton pumps w/ a Peterson filter

Thanks for the response. I am sure that even if available, the RSR cost is out of my budget.

I had two transmission for my 944S2 race car. One used the factory (951) gear type pumps and the other used an aftermarket electric pump. The race car was loud, but the "buzz" of the electric pump was worse and I did not like using it.

Having a "non-noisy" option would be great, but the cost is also a consideration.
