oh yea....btw...car is now sold....to me .
Sorry to confuse those who are emailing me asking for a price on the car. The above statement was my lame attempt at humor.

The car is NOT a piece of junk....it's awesome, I was expecting a fixer-upper but i'd give it a solid 8.5 out of 10. Just took it in for brakes, fluids and an AC repair...other than that...it's perfect.

Hats off to you on the purchase, sir. You've long since been a stand-up guy on this forum, and I'm glad that this beautiful car is in your hands. You deserve a good deal on it!

Instead of a new thread I'll just update this one

After putting 2k miles...some observations

The first thing I noticed was the transmission, shifting seems much tighter and confined to smaller dimensions...is this something different in the '95 MY compared to the '96-'98 MY cars? Interestingly, my 14 year old son and my 16 year old daughter claim it's easier to drive than our '98 C4S!?

Is there no remote lock/immobilizer feature on the '95 MY?

The car sat unused for a few years, thus it needed some TLC

60k mile maintenance
Timing chain cover gaskets
Sparkplugs
Sparkplug wiring harness (crazy OEM $$$$)
Rotors
Brakepads
A/C recharge
Fan Resistor
Rear spoiler wall replacement
Wheel rim refinish
Remove lousy tint window job
Recondition interior leather
Recondition exterior paint

I'll post pix when she's done

Thanks P....that's exactly what my 14 year old son said when he took the wheel (closed course...just don't tell his mom)....to quote him:

"Dad...those are factory CF shift ***** & Ebrake....whoever had this car before us knew the best options....that HAS to be the short shift kit the guys on Rennlist go on about"

1. The car could have a short shifter installed.

2. There's no remote and most thankfully no immobilizer on '95s. Remote is very easy to install. I did research and write-up in 2004 for generic keyless install or you can buy a complete and a very nice remote control system from Tore.B for extremely reasonable price.
