OT: 993ers vs membership
Why is there so much bad comments on the 993 forum against non-members?
I can understand complaining against useless threads, people that post before searching (), etc. But trying to discredit people because they are non-members is stupid imho.
I can understand the pride of supporting a great tool. But hey!, throwing a few $/year gives you some technical advantages on RL, not the right to post more or less on the 993 forum. It's an open forum.

You could start a new thread on this, or you could just end this thread now and use the search button. This subject has been discussed many times and there are lots of opinions to read about

I agree with you completely.
As I've said before, rennlist is simply a vessel (a heavily sponsored vessel at that). Without user contribution, its value is minimal (as both a website and a revenue generation tool). Internet Brands didn't purchase this site cause they like porsches, they bought it to make money.
If someone doesn't see value in OT or classifieds, then why become a member? I'd rather give the $17 to a member that gives good advice than to IB.
Heres my analogy: When you do a cars & coffee at the local Dunkin Donuts, do you pay Dunkin Donuts for the privilege? No. Do they let you do it because they realize that the extra parking lot traffic will likely result in additional sales for them? of course.
Full disclosure: I was gifted a membership

My point is not about if paying membership worth it. This has been discussed more than once AFAIK.
I should close this as quad suggested. I don't want to start a debate on membership and Internet Brands.
