Yep, the revenue collectors were out in full force on 288 Saturday. Passed one each time I hopped on the highway.
I have a Rennline tow hook mount on my car and like it (as much as one can like having a front plate on their car). I'll try to make the next C&C if you would like to check it out. Just out of curiosity, what was the damage from the ticket?
There is is new front license plate mount that is low profile and only displays the numbers, kind of looks like a European Plate because the device first bends your plate and then you flip it over to use it as a mounting bracket. I looked it up and California is not very specific about the front plate... just that the license numbers need to be clearly displayed on the front of the vehicle. The site is myfrontplate dot com I am starting to see these in Orange County on sports cars.....better looking than the tow hook mount that looks like a stupid name tag.
New to site, but thought you should know.

You just signed up to Rennlist, and just so happened to post the same response on four threads. Any chance that this myfrontplate.com BS is your website?
3M All-weather Doubled-sided Tape works great. It too rec'd a ticket and had to do something before a Skine Bracket arrive so I purchased the 3M product and errr... yep... with two 4 inch pieces taped it onto the bummer. It placed it so that it hangs low, over the front radiator and looks actually pretty good. So good that the Skine bracket arrived and I just haven't found the time to do it proper. Checke it out. It's a great inexpensive alternative to brackets or drilling holes.
Looks like this inventiva site is inactive. Any idea where I can find the bracket for this plate mounting Jeff U? thanks
Another old inventiva thread resuscitated. You might get lucky and find a used one that someone is willing to part with. You can also try the DIY approach and save a few bucks. Check out this thread that was just circulating for both the above. Maybe Jeff will even make another batch? If so, I'm in. https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...bracket-3.html
I used some zip ties to attach the plate to the grill. Had the ticket signed off then cut off the zip ties and put the plate back in the frunk where it belongs.
I thought this was a creative front license plate solution
Mounted to the passenger visor. Depends on the state I believe, as some require it to be visible from the front, and others require it to be mounted to the exterior...... Nonetheless i had not seen this solution before.
