Before you ask. Yes I tried a search and no luck. Anyone help with a good complete stereo replacement system?I have had suggestions of placing speakers just under rear seats but have not seen such a set-up. Any info is appreciated especially with pics. THANKS.

Under the tab "search this forum" type in stereo upgrade or other variations to get results. Plenty of good info.

Use the advanced search and limit your search to the 993 forum, make sure you search for threads, not individual posts.

You can also try using goolge by typing in "993 headunit site:rennlist.com". I think that is easier to use than the advance search function here.

If you are looking for help here from RLer's, you need to be at least a bit more specific. Does you car have HiFi option? Do you want navigation? CD? iPhone connection? 5000W? 6 track?

I am looking to upgrade speakers with at least 500-1000W AND ADD A cd ,Nav and xm. I have seen some after market head units that have a fold out nav screen such as Alpine.I do have the Hi Fi option

That kind of power is going to need an external amplifier, probably more than one. I assume that is multiple channels total and not per channel. No headunit that I know of produces that kind of power, at least not at a %THD that I would listen to.

The problem with the fold out screens is that they don't fit well into the 993 dash. Any particular reason you want that large of a screen?
The 993 takes a standard DIN size headunit

AKTUNG,
Seached first? hahaha you are learning young Jedi!

I think you are being mislead by the search box at the top center of the page....it searches ALL of RL, not just 993 sub-forum, which is why you are getting results from other forums. Use this for all 993 searches, from the top of the RL993 forum page:

Keep the search terms simple then add more to cut out garbage you don't need. Also try multiple ways to say the same thing, as everyone doesn't use the same terminology (ex headunit, head unit, stereo, radio. replacement, install, etc)

Oh, and in Internet speak (Netiquette), typing in ALL CAPITALS IS THE WAY YOU YELL AT PEOPLE. Using this for all your thread titles is like you are yelling at us, not simply asking for help.
