Default WTB Andial MWF, New Old Stock - BOUGHT!

Dear Rennlist,

My transmission is almost done being torn down and I am starting to accumulate parts for the rebuild. I wanted to do a re-gear but it looks like this is going to be a (relatively) low budget rebuild.

If anyone has one of the now obsolete Andial flywheels laying around that they don't plan on using I am very interested. I am hoping to get one for around $700 like the one that sold last October.

Please PM me or e-mail me at chaoscreature@hotmail.com if you have something.
Thank You!

Peter, have you tried to contact PNA in Santa Ana? They may have access to any surplus.

Kika, no I have not... Are you talking about Porsche North America?

Since this is not a factory part I doubt they will have one but it's worth a shot!
Thanks,
Peter D.

Yes, Porsche North America. As I recall, they are across the parking lot from one another, and lots of people and parts traversed that parking lot. Never know what parts may be tucked away under someone's work bench...

It has been over 30 years since I was last there however.

Found one!
Interestingly it's the same one that was for sale a while back in the link I posted.
I guess I will be the fourth owner... hopefully the first one to use it
This flywheel went from Inkatouring to Csertich to Il Pirata and now to me.

Awesome. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.

As an aside, I have RSRs that went from Robin > Roger > Brian > me.

Just wanted to post a quick update as a data point for people looking to get one of these.
It works great. I have a little over 1000 miles on the MWF with RS clutch and have not had a single stalling, nor even a slight hiccup with my engine.
It's been so long since I had the OEM flywheel in that I can't really say much about the "revvability" of the engine, but I am digging the slightly more mechanical sound Practically solid motor/trans mounts really amplify the sounds. With stock mounts I am not sure if I would even notice.

Although Andial is out of business Steve W. has the drawings to make more of the MWF's and is just waiting for more interest before doing a production run.
