Scale 993 models
#61
You heard correct!
Riviera Blue, Silver, Red, Green. All NB Coupes.
AA is very slow in the development time - but sometimes not.
A lot of their Porsches have been in the "Development Approved" status now for half a decade.
They've indeed actually made a pre-production 1:18 993. It was shown about a year ago, since then not much word. The car has made its way into the official catalog however, so that is probably good news!
Some models they are really quick with though, maybe the ones they think would sell like hot cakes.
And here is what's even more confusing about the 993 specifically: It's no coincidence that AutoArt came into existence shortly before UT went out. UT more or less morphed into AA - they share the same parent company. Some of the very early AA models still used molds/parts from UT. They also continued where UT had stopped with the 996/986 Boxster lineup.
So if anyone has the molds for the UT Models, it's AA. Who knows why they didn't continue making the UT 993's at the time.
More interesting - the new 1:18 AA 993 AFAIK shares no parts with the UT 993.
Narrowbody, like your car? UT did the 993 Supercup. One of their rarer models though.

Never saw an RS/CS UT before. Since I've been following ebay, and CL...there have been numerous of the Naked lady GT2's, many with sticker damage($91-218), and about a few of GT2 Evo street's. The cheapest EVO I saw, went for just under $250 IIRC.
I would love both of those, but not at that $$.

I went to the GR site but don't see any sales info on that one

I don't think it's for sale - I think he's just documenting his collection.

Bill, you probably already know this but Minichamps made various iterations in 1/43rd. I have the #1 Supercup that you mentioned along with several street versions. I know you are talking 1/18 but it is available in 1/43rd.
Good luck!
