Default Scale 993 models

Thought it would be fun to have a small scale model of my 993 on my desk at work. I know nothing about them and have seen models for sale by Maisto, Bburago. I have also heard about UT scale models(?). I'm thinking I want something in the 1:18 size and made of some kind of metal. Any suggestions on what I should buy?

A few companies make them, including Maisto, Bburago (now owned by Maisto I think) and UT Models (now out of business).

According to internet lore, AutoArt has announced release of a 1:18 NB Coupe in four colors. But AutoArt is known to take sometimes five years to actual get a model on the shelf after they've anounced it.

Take a look on eBay. The Ut's are rarer but are more detailed than the Maisto and Bburago.

Take care!

Looks like a close match to your car ble2011... I think you'd be impressed with the Burago line... these were produced before the Maisto merger. I've always preferred the Burago over the Maisto.

I'm looking forward to see the AutoArt 993... It will definitely be a part of my small collection.

I went the UT route.. Had to sacrifice a lowly GT2 to get the speedlines & black sport interior to match my car...

You may like this Pocher 1/8th scale 993.

I could not be bothered to get into assembling it -- so sold it on Ebay to some one in France.

There is a couple on Ebay now $400/ $650.

Nice work Nick. I have both of those cars as well but it would be hard to kill one.

I happened to have 2 GT2/AR993tt's - one of each boxed & perfect and a pair without a box. Now I just need to figure out what I want to do with the GT2 shell...

The Bburago is a nice model for the price. I have quite a few Bburagos (not just Porsches) and like them.

As for the AutoArt, who knows when it comes. AutoArt has had the 944S2 'coming soon' now for at least three years. All they have to do is basically put in a different engine in their 944Turbo model. But, still no S2.

I like what you did to your UT!

If you have any parts you don't want, I may be interested in them. See here: https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...le-models.html

Take care!

Years ago there was a guy on 6Speedonline that had an accurate model of his 996 Turbo made. I think it was made from UT models and custom made parts. Pretty cool.

I doubt that you will be disappointed with it.

I currently have a yellow 993 Cabriolet by Burago that I'm planning on working on disassembling and eventually painting the same Amaranth Violet as mine. I'm hoping it turns out well. I can post pics of the progress up to when I've completed if interested.

The current highlight of my Porsche collection is a 901 by CMC which is by far the most detailed model at an attainable cost that I've ever come across.

We'll be selling all of our 1/43rd 993s as soon as our move to the new house is complete. We'll post pics then.
