Another way to go about it is dry ice blasting. I looked into it here is SD and it wasn't that expensive and is quick, comparatively... I got side tracked and never got a "cleaning day" together like I wanted to for a group (to cut costs)...one of these days...

Day 5,

waiting for the building to fix the water main ... no water in the wear house. while waiting i installed a few things instead. the fire extinguisher and took a run after work for the tire place to install Opo rims.. now i got rims with no road rash..hopefully the water is done by this am...and we will go cosmoline hunting again..
