Nice ride the cross-country road trip to bond with a new car ... Hey ,,, what can be said about arctic silver metallic that hasn't been said. LoL. Luv the sport seat fit. When ordering the coupe the 993 model had been around for several years - so the aero options spoilers were not in my future as well. The front TT-S yes.

So never a TT coupe in the mix of 993 cars.. ? Luv the acceleration wooosh ...

Congrats Bart...she looks great. What I love about you is that you are not afraid of mileage or driving your cars!

Thanks guys!

I picked up a split grille on eBay (and the accompanying rear deck, spoiler mechanism and spoiler wall)....it's white and needs to be repainted but I'm holding off before considering the euro front bumper....I thought the front of this car was in bad shape but it was not bad compared to some of my previous cars (Ben aka owner of Barney....you know what I mean) ....so I'm on the fence....paint the existing grille body color and just leave the front bumper or replace it with the euro front and go with the split grille rear?

On a side note, the spoiler mechanism on this car is by far the most silent one I've ever had, I'd hate to fix what's not broken when it comes to that $500 OEM part.

My son and I took off the wheels expecting to redo the rotor hats, but they were properly coated in the factory primer and in perfect condition so we left them alone. He thought the Big Reds would look better in silver with black lettering so that may be a mod we do before the next DE event.

No question, if I keep this car it will get a red interior. I've got classic 9's price list and it looks like a $10K job to get it done right.

The rims on this car have a couple of scuffs, I'll either get them refinished or replace them with the ones like those that opo had on the car he just sold.

The exhaust parts could use a good polishing and plating so those will most likely come off and get cleaned up before the nice weather.

Oh yea, this car has a cover on the underside of the engine that I've never seen before. Any idea WTF it is there for?

Did a spirited 100 mile drive today without aforementioned engine underside cover, everything is still as good as it was in San Diego two weeks ago

I thought I had Porsche ADD but you take the cake Bart. Now sell me those ugly sport seats and I can give you the more desirable comfort ones.

Car looks great by the way, love those wide body 993s. When are you going to make the final jump to a 993TT.

Its no wonder why 993's are so popular. To me, they are the iconic Porsche. Perfect body lines, wheels, dimensions. Gorgeous.

Yes I do! !!!!

Living in Colorado is a double edge sword because we don't use salt when it snows, but we do use sand which pummels the front end of all our cars (and glass). It's okay though, I'd rather fix rock chips than rust! .....funny thing is, that car spent very little time in Colorado.
