Yeah love is in the eye of beholder. Don't get it myself.

I hate that none of these RWB seem to have actual track oriented suspensions/powerplants. It makes them so freaking poser. That being said, the Slate Gray looks amazing.
Where did you get the idea that "none of these RWB seem to have actual track oriented suspensions/power plants"

And for those that can't take their eyes off the rivets, RWB's come in all shapes and sizes. Rivet-less too!

Sorry for the multiple posts - having a helluva time doing this from the iPad.

Love the ducktail and rivet less look

"Zero existance of roll geometry" doesn't sound like a stock suspension to me...

Clearly not mainstream, and to manys tastes, but given it's history, I like it.

I like them. I mean some are more "outrageous" than others but I'd drive it no problem.

I would drive it, on the track, with dark sunglasses.

I don't see the special thing on this cars, this kind of thing has been done for decades in the states by different entities, maybe it is in the quality on how it is put together(probably).,I guess the looks of it coming from the track cars and so forth, nothing new here. The Godzilla look I guess.Sonny1.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I do like the RWB look. But these should be only be done to the more common variety 911s.

Can't imagine cutting up a '73 RS or even a '76 930 for a RWB conversion.

I coud understand this being done on a 996. At least not any version of the 911 prior to 1999.

Because early cars like SC's or older are so much lighter, many racers over the years have hung 934/935K3/993 body work on them and turned the cars into 2,200lb or so track monsters. I love seeing these creations at races.

The RWB cars really aren't my cup of tea (much rather have a GT2 clone or a real GT2), but I do think they're somewhat interesting.

Not my cup of tea, especially when the "go" doesn't match the "show."

And it made me cringe to see a fairly original 993 in a very unusual color carved up for this purpose. For crying out loud, take a black or silver car out of circulation at least.

I would drive it, everywhere, butt naked. That way it'd allow me to spend more time with the flock of women that would undoubtedly be throwing themselves at me.

Seriously you really think this is ugly!? I understand being a purist and all, but you can at least give credit where it is due.

Not so much ugly, as cartoonish. Wouldn't want to deal with any "woman" who flocked to that....

That made me chuckle.

Being a relative newcomer to air cooled 911's I tread somewhat lightly here, but watching videos of the Nakai-san fellow take an air saw to the flanks of many otherwise beautiful 993's took me by surprise when I first viewed them. Then to witness his cult like status among many was a bit strange also, maybe he is that good but as others have stated "not my cup of tea", especially the coffee table sized rear wings and the appearance of all those exposed rivets.

I will admit that the trio of pics aarrow posted above are much easier on the eyes and subtle in comparison IMO, especially the white one.
