The cars with the wheel arches molded to the fenders are not offensive to me. The bolt on parts I dislike. And I admit, I used to like RWB cars until I saw one in person. It was also gray, but a different shade and looked grotesque. Since then I've changed my mind about them. The riveted garage door seal just doesn't do it for me.

BUT...but...but....the GT2s and RSRs have exposed rivets holding up the flares!!!

Yes, along with the power to back it up. And those are more understated.

The RWB treatment seems to suit the 964's more that the 993's - I especially like the white one above.

Regarding the car in question - I agree that it does look a little cartoonish & there's no reason (IMO) to go any further than with a good GT2 / RSR body kit on the 993.

I also seem to recall that the car for sale wasn't fully painted - just the bolt on parts.

To each their own.

I just don't understand why everyone thinks all RWB Porsches are all show no go.

Yes, there was a member here who went through the whole shebang, minus engine mods. But that should be the exception, not the rule!

Brinkley's car is sold pending payment. I've seen it and it's pretty cool, if you're into that sort of thing...

That, the screw holes, and the cut sheetmetal. Always wondered what sort of thought goes into these hidden matters as the fiberglass pieces are fitted...

What credit is due to who? You think everything Nakai-san have build deserve a bowdown?

This white 964 based RWB is sweet, I mean very sweet. But I really don't like the ebay grey 993. No discredit to RWB in general, this is not what I meant.

2200? Maybe the 3rd car I'm posting, with its ~350 lbs of ballast to make GTL minimum. (It's an '86 930 chassis.)

1st up is actually a '69, running some sort of turbo engine out of JWE. Bob pretty much runs what the 935s did back in the Olden Days. (Sears basically hasn't changed, so it's a great track for comparisons over the generations.)

Middle photo is a '70 chassis GT2 class car, and it's sub 1800 lbs.

You're definitely right, Ken; my fingers worked faster than my brain, so I was initially thinking of the early stock car weights. Still, I added "or so" as a fudge factor because I had a feeling you would correct me in some way.

She'll be going to a good home. Funny this was the first car I've sold using Instagram lol. Chad told me he wanted to sell it, tagged the right person, and that evening had a call and payment arrangements were being made. The new owner has some awesome plans for her.

I'm not crazy about RWB's work on 993s... too cartoonish and I think they will not age well. However, I would totally make my 964 like these if I could. The smooth wider than normal fenders just work!
