the tilt versions drastically change anti-squat anti dive and also alter camber/toe curves

the flat ones just move the suspension up into the chassis reducing rear bump steer and flex in the rear suspension, it also changes a/s and a/d but only by a little bit. You need to use the Motorsports gauge to set rear caster to ~2-3°(AKA KT) w/ the flat ones.

I've mentioned this numerous times, but my Motons ride fairly well on the street. My springs are 700/900, somewhat soft for the track. The big TRG's don't help the ride.

Mark, why do you say that 700/900 is somewhat soft for the track?

I know quite a few other people who are running 900/1200 and higher for 3000lb or lighter race cars. IIRC, Larry Herman's Cervelli-built 964 ran 1400lb plus springs. Drivers need to be on their game to handle such high spring rates, which is why I run soft springs.

Maybe bobt993 will post.

I'm with you, but would never really say that 7/9 is soft. I most certainly have not yet felt undersprung, and run at lap record (or near) paces.

The reason I bring this up is the tendency for some to recommend too much spring for growing drivers. I honestly believe this slows them down at best, or causes big problems in other cases; driver confidence is 90% at the club level.

Cervelli and those in his camp are a different story, but the guys being schooled by him are advanced to begin with. I do wonder if they wouldn't be quicker with a revisit on spring rates though.

Can one of you guys using or setting up MCS / Moton / other fancy dampers post a football plot, i.e. Force vs. position for a mid-range setting? nothing that reveals anything super-secret or, send me a *.pvp file if that's easier.

Thanks-
