3.5 years later, it is worth double what it sold for in 2013.

The one that got away

that's very cool. He moved on to a 997tt for the street and a Gt3 cup car for the track. Maybe should have held on to the 993 a little longer but oh well... the garage was full and there were slicks to buy!

What part of SOLD didn't make sense? I'm sorry, but people should read before posting

Nothing wrong with putting out a feeler in a thread that indicates some of its history. This is especially true when it comes to a previous owner.

yes i noticed it was sold 3 years ago thats why i didn't use the phrase "still for sale", this would naturally be the best place to post my interest in the car to find the current owner. relax.

I commend your father on his excellent taste in automobiles, sir.

How much time did you spend stuffed into the back of these things? I probably had a 1k hours under my belt by eighth grade.

This one I was too old to fit in the back, and he only had it a short time. He daily drove a chiffon white 930 for over 15 years that I spend a lot of time stuffed in the back, no luck finding that one though. figured since I was in the market for a 993, this one would be a cool one to have.

Ha! My daughter is 7 and she loves riding in the back of mine! But again mine isn't a DD either.

I appreciate the old photographs and personal history on the car. At some point someone may appreciate knowing more about the car's pedigree.

I hope you're able to track the car down, buy it (if it comes up for sale and that's what you want) and restore the brake calipers to original.

That wasn't blatantly obvious.

Why not start a new thread: "anyone know of where this car is"?

stefn1 10-28-2016 02:07 PM

Because this thread already has all the information about the car and plenty of history on it (more current photos), that I could not provide on my own. People are more likely to click on this thread because it shows a C2S for sale at way way below market value...vs clicking on a thread asking to locate a car. by doing so I also have the op involved which is a valuable resource for me finding the car. anyone researching the car in the future would find this thread easier as well. it was blatantly obvious the car was sold 3 years ago...I don't see the big deal here.

It was to those of us who aren't morons. Don't you have anything better to do? Never mind, we all know the answer to that question.

Stefn1, if you want to disgust yourself, feel free to search the archives for Ed's previous posts. They're all pretty much like this one.

It isn't a big deal.

You just happened to get the "usual treatment" from Rennlist's resident bitter old man.

Don't take it personally; he's not prejudiced, he lashes out his anger needlessly to pretty much everyone on here eventually. Today was just your turn

FWIW, I didn't and don't see a problem with stefn1's query. IMO, it is just a continuation of the stewardship tale of this particular 993.
