Help: Can't stop the Beeping
I hate to post for something this stupid. I've already searched.
Getting ready to drop the motor, have the bumber off, so not running the car. Ran the battery pretty low doing a compression tests. Put the charger on to put some charge to it...enough to start.
I keep getting an intermitent beep, I bet from the Immobilizer, about every 60 seconds. Driving the family nuts. So I disconnect the batterry, and took out the DME. No power at all to the car, but Still Beeping! Help?

If battery is out, it should go away at some point.... Or short the battery cables together (REMOVE BATTERY COMPLETELY FROM CAR FIRST!!!! avoids sparks causing battery gases from exploding) to drain all remaining charge on capacitors. Best through a large resistance (actual resistor or the longest, skinny piece of wire you can find.

Thanks guys. I haven't started digging in the car for the horns or whatever is causing the beep...its just a short beep, but really annoying. I might have to resort to your suggestion on shorting. Its like the car has a mind of its own!
