I agree. It doesn't want to come out and I am afraid to force it. If anyone has removed it, is there a trick or technique?

On my c2, it lifts right out. And drips everywhere from the little hole in the bottom.

The insert on my '97 C4S is exactly like yours in appearance and unwillingness to be removed.

Even after I knew how the insert was built, it was difficult to remove. You need to pull up, turn a little bit to match up a slot and a key and then proceed to pull the insert out. Seems so simple, but I bet I wasted a half hour on it.

Next time I bleed the brakes and clutch, I'm just going to leave it in place.

Good luck with the bleed.
