Default New Yorker story about Adrian Newey

For those interested in such esoterica, the Feb 4th issue of the New Yorker magazine has a great article on Adrian Newey, the Formula 1 designer.

most excellent article about the uber boffin.
A few months ago i saw a show on the goodwood festival where he and his partner won their class driving an old jag (I think).
he did go off course initially and lost several places, so perhaps his "spacial awareness" is still a bit of a hindrance.

Didn't he write off an original Ford GT40 some time back?

I saw that race and thought Newey drove well. Most of those cars were being driven hammer and tongs hard and were sliding around in beautiful four wheel drifts. Absolutely nutty considering how valuable those 250 GTO's, Cobras, Lister Jags, et al are but at least they're being used as intended.
