I don't get the obsession with the Fiskes - they are way too busy looking with the multi-spoke design and they distract the eye from the pure curves of the car itself - not my cup of tea for sure! -

Keep the MY02's, they are great, light, very sleek and open. Also keep the RUF's, very classic and really make the car stand out, as well as being quite strong. Their "perceived" heaviness is not a factor for me, I have both roaded and tracked mine, they work great.

Cheers,

Mike

Speedlines (wheel weight on a street car is completely irrelevant) and MY02s. Paint the MY02s dark grey or black and rotate them with the Speedlines when you want to change things up.

Default Since you asked???

I'd unload the following:
1. The MY 2002 996 wheels, they are prone to bending, although they have a strong following on the Forum. I have had three (3) sets over time. It seemed I was always dealing with an out of round issue. I got rid of them all.
2. The stock 7" and 9" wheels...but great winter wheels if you drive in foul weather
3. Ruf wheels...just too heavy
4. The Speedlines, also too heavy, and there are scads of people just waiting yo buy them
5. The Hollow Spoke" technology wheels, too heavy.

My favorite wheel now is the 18" O-Z Allegritta from Tire Rack. They are cast , but they are damn light..made in Italy, not China. About $1,700 a set delivered. And oh how good they look on a 993 NB car.

Why do you continue to stress yourself with such matters? Give me the FM10's and simplify your life!
I'll even pay shipping...

The simplier, the better: MY02s and ruf. Dump the rest (although the FM10s are nice).

Ok, now I have to throw a wrench in the works...

I have been chasing one of my other bucket list cars for several years and the owner just gave me the green light last night! I have always wanted an RSA (I know just a overpriced, tarted up 964 C2..) but only want an all original, primo, no roof, no air, LSD car... So a friend of mine has finally caved under several years of arm twisting and i will be picking up my new to me RSA next week.

So how does this relate? First it of course needs the right wheel setup (it currently is on a set of Fikse Mach V's) and comes with the OE wheels as well. I will keep the OE's but am thinking about which of these other wheels I have that might fit.

I am thinking the Speedline with a ~20mm rear spacer. For my wheel fitment experts, what do you think of that?

I also wasnt planning on the outlay of cash, so to soften the blow a little bit I will be doing a little bit of a garage sale. Look for a few of these wheels to pop up for sale along with a few other P-car parts.

My vote: Change out the FM10 centers for FM5 centers! Best of all worlds, light, strong AND easy to clean!

The Mach5s just don't "do it" for me. The spoke design just doesn't "flow" the the way the FM5s do.

That's quite a collection of wheels you have...and a beautiful car. The only ones I don't care for are the sport designs. Just my opinion. I'm not sure about the mach 5's, I would have to see a pic of them on the car.
I may be interested in a set of Fikses if you decide to sell. I too like to swap wheels often. I have My02's and Tech Art's for my car now.
I think the Speedlines would look amazing on the 964. What color is the car?
