Happy weekend folks!!!

Very pleased to say that the fabrication work on the next 9m93 Speedster S is nearing completion so we have finally loaded the 9mRS tub onto one of our Celette jigs and now have work underway in the fab shop.

First stage was front wing removal, seam welding & reinforcement of the strut tops, preparation for RS cutout switch & screen wash bottle, full interior de-bracket and anchors for the 6 point harness seat belts. Obviously all this work is easier to do without the cage installed so we're making hay whilst the sun is shining. Cage fabrication should start towards the end of next week.

I should also mention that the covers on the outside of the car are to protect the paint since it is not scheduled for a respray.....

That is an interesting call.

So why shouldn't you use a water pressure washer to remove all the glue and foam ?
About the re spray in for a penny?

Apart from the fact that it would take weeks to dry the shell out before painting, pressure alone would not remove the glue, you have to use solvents to dissolve it. There is no other way - believe me we've tried everything!

All donations will be gratefully received, so if you and 9,999 other friends all want to send £1 each we'll be on it straight away.....

9M, someone here in the Uk told me they had a dry ice treatment that removed all traces of glue in a few hours, not cheap though.
There was apparently a feature in 911 &PW or one of the Uk Porsche magazines.

What seats were in there when it pulled in?

Recaro SPG large which are being refitted; furthermore the drivers side seat mounts in the chassis are going to be lowered to gain additional headroom.

I would definitely be interested to learn more, especially if the system could also remove paint?
