We test the squirters on assembly and leave alone if they are functioning correctly, hence they are still there but have dropped back down inside the hole due to a lack of oil pressure.

Great to see footage and photos of the 9mRS's being used as intended, just a shame that the collectors are now buying all the factory RS variants and not bringing them out to play as well!

Scuderia Hanseat 2015
This year we where 55 persons from Ringrunners who attended the Scuderia Hanseat. To be so many makes it even more fun and we came in on Sunday morning such that we could watch the WTC race, LMP1 , LMP2 etc...
It was however 33 degres Celsius and almost 100% humidity so it must have been a very though race for the drivers as we spectators had it after a couple of hours.. We retired to our hotell and watched the final laps on TV to enjoy another Porsche success, No. 1 in both important class
As the WTC race was on our chance to drive before the SH was pushed to the tourist faren on the monday evening and even that there was a stoppage I managed to put in six laps.
The first day which was Tuesday was a wash out with the heaviest rain I have experienced on the ring... at 70 Kmh I could not see the road even though my windscreen wipers where flat out. We had two sections on the ring being pflamtzgarthen and schwalbenswantz the first was too wet for me to drive but the second was OK. The reason I could drive was that I had fitted Michelin Pilot Cup 2 tires on my car. 285/30/18 at the rear and 235/40/18 at the front. The wet grip in relation to old Cup tires is fantastic
At the end of the day my car developed a strange sound from the rear and I went in to the supporting Porsche dealer who was on site in box 19. They took my rear left wheel of and checked the parts after which they told me it was the pre-tension of the handbrake that was loose and it was NO problems to continue to drive:bang head:
As we only had an hour to do free practice I went out and got as far as Schwendenkreuz when the left wheel bearing bugged out!. The feeling as the noise came was that I had hit a joint in the road and the car swerved but I stayed on the tarmac, speed was about 200 kmh. I drove slowly for the remaining part of the lap and then down to Prosport who diagnosed the fault and ordered new parts, wheel bearing, drive shaft and outer wheel hub. I lost out on driving on Wendesday and Thursday morning but the car was up and going by 11:30 on Thursday such that I could participate in the free driving during the lunch 12:00-13:15. I managed six laps and then we had the examination lap to do.
I did my lap and as all laps on the ring I felt I could have done more but the result we had in the evening proved it had gone rather well
I had received 182 points from a possible maximum of 200 and the winner had 188. It placed me on equal 4th place together with a friend in RR and the two of us where the highest scoring from our group as well as from Sweden
This also qualifies me for the Winners Group for next year which will be a challenge to look forward to
My iphone using Harrys was not up to the lap but my GoPro was so her you can watch and enjoy one of my best laps on the ring. The 9MRSCS is so fun to drive that words can not fully describe it, many thanks to Colin and 9M for this shear joy of a car:lowdown:

Time to go to the Nürburgring
It is now time for the annual visit and participation in the Scuderia Hanseat.
This year we are 66 participants from our car club Ring Runners of Sweden.
The driving starts on monday the 29th of August and finishes with our examination lap on Wednesday afternoon.
In order to inject some more drama to my "performance" I saw that John from Fabspeed had a good offer on a Supercup exhaust system which I purchased and fitted.
In the enclosed clip you can see the system I had before and how it sounded.
It had a good sound but lacked that bit of grunt that i was looking for.
Here is a clip with the Fabspeed Supercup system.
The sound is deeper and louder and the car sounds as if it has another 2 liters of displacement.
I was not expecting much gain in performance as Colin had said that the inlet was the obstruction and the car really stopped to give more power at about 6 500 rpm.
I was pleasantly surpriced to find that it now pulls strong all the way to the limiter at 7 500 rpm and would expect that it has 15-20 hp more. It is also better in the midrange and now feels free to breathe. I would like to test it at Ninemeister to see what this change has in real improvement in both outright power as well as in torque.
I hope I can get my filming equipment working and if so will post my examination lap.

Nürburgring Scuderia Hanseat 2016
It was time for the annual participation in Scuderia Hanseat at the Nürburgring. This year we where a record number of participants from our car club Ringrunners of Sweden, 63 cars. To further add to this Porsche Centre syd had 20 cars from Sweden where som participants also are members of RR.
As you had seen in previous posts I had fitted a Supercup exhaust system from Fabspeed and I had only fitted the end pipes so no x-pipe. My car already had race cats and it is now loud. The instructors at each section loved the sound but not the "sound police" in Berlin who stopped me from driving on tuesday as the car was too loud. Around the track they have a number of measuring points and the registered sound goes directly to Berlin and the authorities there. We have to have transponders in our cars and through this system you are singled out
They had recorded 104dB at Flugplatz and the maximum limit allowed was 102dB. When I purchased the system from John and Fabspeed it came with som "down pipes" which you easily can fit and they saved the day as they take down the sound by 2-3dB which for the Nürburgring and my car was sufficient :thumb up:
This meant that I could continue to drive the section training on Wednesday as well as the examination lap. But the car loses out on some of its impressive sound as well as it restricts how the car pulls. Without the end pipes it pulled all the way to 7 400rpm but with the end pipes it was not much point to go above 7 000rpm.
I had a problem which perhaps some of you rennlisters have experienced. My power steering fluid squirted out in the engine room and I went to Manthey who fixed a catch tank with a hose connected to the breather hole in the reservoir lid of the steering fluid container. It was a sort of fix but not solving the root of the problem - the fluid boiling/fooming. Any suggestion on how to fix this problem or idea of why it occurs?
The second hick up was that my alternator belt broke which Manthey luckily had in stock and I received excellent support from Christian who got me up and running in an hour:lowdown:
I had qualified for winners group last year and this was my first start in this group which sure gets your adrenaline pumping. When I was about to drive of I was stopped by Patrick Simon - Chefinstruktor as a car had gone of in a section of the Pflantzgarten more precisely Sprunghügel which is the large jump in this section. I had to wait about 10 minutes before getting back in the car such that I could start my examination lap. I then knew that there was a problem in this area and where the car had gone of just in case you think I am going a bit too quick down in the first section of Pflantzgarten when you see the video and the flag marshall. This resulted in me not being able to go flat out in Bellhof esses which lost me some points.
I am however happy with the lap which placed me in position 7 in winners group out of a total of 29 starting cars. In front of me I had 4 swedes and two germans. The swedes are all very good drivers who all has competed in motor racing so a great success for me and the 9mrscs.
I post the lap here for those of you who are interested and will aslo later post a lap where Patrick Simon drives the 9mrscs with me riding around the Nürburgring.

I have a friend who is a very accomplished driver of many different cars but he as me has a special love for the air cooled porsches.
He has put together a really cool video of us driving the Nürburgring which I felt compelled to share with You rennlisters
You can also check check out his YouTube channel for other nice car clips
