Clear side marker LED
On my 95 C2 have done the HID conversion and installed clear corner lights. Initially picked up the clear bulbs instead of the amber ones. Unfortunately the regular bulbs at the corners really look beat compared to the HID headlights. Anyone know if its possible to use an LED replacement bulb? Is there any wiring issues and if not what bulb to get (the regular bulb has the two filaments for the turn function). Appreciate any help

Check with Carnewal.com. I was looking there for the HID conversion and I think I saw that there were led lights.

I actually bought a set of LED amber side marker/turn signal bulbs off Ebay but haven't gotten around to installing them. I've purchased LEDs for the tail lights and interior lights and was planning on testing to see what works and what doesn't. Just wish I had more time to do all that.

Converted my Clear turn signal lights to LED today - much brighter!
Also replaced the OEM Signal Relay under the dash to eliminate hyper flashing.

Ted, I saw your post in the thread that you linked to, however I did not see where you said which LED you ended up using.
Did you go with one of the reflector models? Or one of the multiple LED arrays? Also, I'm assuming you got the dual intensity ones so that they still functioned as driving lights, yes?
Thanks!

Just to complete this thread.
The front sidemarkers and the front turn signals are 2 different things.
The sidemarkers are inside the front fog light housings (they don't blink!)
The turn signals are depicted on the above photos (blinkers.)
In 2011, I bought some LEDs to replace the bulbs inside my sidemarkers to match my 8000k HIDs here.
Click on "view replacements" in the sidemarker box. I ordered the 6 LEDs 360 degrees Cool Whites. (BA9s-CWHP6) They match the 8000K fairly well.
3 years and they are still working...

For instance, how many interior bulbs are needed? How many back up lights and is the fog light H3-55w bulb they have listed for the fogligth/driving light the foglight OR the driving light? Are they the same thing. Are the indicators color or clear bulbs?
If there was general guide that explained what you need and why it would be awesome. It certainly would make it easier to choose.
Sorry if I'm being dim and this is all self-explanatory to everybody else.

stupid question....I switched mine to clear corners (turn signal housing)...if I change the bulbs to orange ones...will they light up orangish in color when blinking or will the clear/white housing force any bulb color to blink white?

Burning Brakes
BTW is there a state or federal law that requires the front blinkers to be amber/orange?

I am fairly sure they will blink orange, but you will have the egg yolk effect when not in use. That is why many buy the orange bulbs with a silver coating so that the orange can only be seen when the bulb is on.
