Default 993 PPI in Portland Oregon area

Hi guys,

Can anyone recommend a good shop/technician to do a PPI on a 993 in the Portland area?

Would greatly appreciate any help you can provide.

Cheers

a couple of good indies there - Marque Motors and Stuttgart Autotech are the 2 most experienced with air-cooled P-cars that do PPIs. good luck...

Steve Weiner is the first air cooled P car shop that comes to mind but not sure if he has time to do PPIs.

Excellent suggestions!

We don't do PPI's, with the exception of race cars.

I used Marque Motors. They were very accommodating by sending digital pictures and very willing to discuss anything on phone. I would use them again.

+1 on Marque. They did a very thorough PPI on the 993 I recently purchased and were great to work with.

I had two PPIs done prior to the purchase of my 993:

1) Porsche dealer did not catch all issues during the PPI.
2) lemonsquad.com had a more comprehensive report that included items the Porsche dealer did not catch. The Lemon Squad PPI was done for a fraction of cost of the Porsche dealer. Perhaps a Porsche indie shop can do a better job is debatable.

I would explore all your options do your due diligence.

I would suggest that most Porsche dealers do a lousy PPI and particularly don't know air cooled cars. The Lemon squad looks like an interesting service for buying a Chevy or a Toyota. These cars need an indie that specializes in air cooled Porsches. They aren't cheaper than a dealer - but the good ones really know their stuff. Just my opinion of course.
