Default I got one!!!

This day has been a long time coming... 29 years to be exact, when I first saw a triple black 911SC Cab back in '83. I have been anticipating the opportunity to get an air-cooled Porsche ever since. Thought I'd start with an '80s Carrera before getting a 993 to start at a lower price point and know what those less-refined versions are like to live with, but the right 993 came along and I couldn't pass it up, as they are ever harder to find with low miles and un-modified.

Just got home from a 400 mile drive after picking up a triple black, two-owner, 6-speed '95 C2 Cab with 35k miles from So Cal. The drive home to the bay area was awesome, even drove through some light snow going over Tejon Pass!

The only thing I want to change from stock right now is the wheels. It has the standard 16s and I much prefer the 17" Cup IIs. If anyone has a set they'd like to sell me, please send me a PM!

Looking forward to lots of great drives and dipping a toe into doing some of my own maintenance. I'll be looking to you all for your expertise, so thanks in advance!

Here are a few quick pics.

Nice looking ride.

I might have a set of Cup II's going for sale soon with very low mile Michelin PS2's already mounted.

Congratulations. Your Christmas present was deferred for a few days.

...drove through some light snow...
A little snow is always fun...

Congratulations! You didn't happen to buy it from a lady named Linda did you?

We drove our P-cars in the rain a few weeks ago and then didn't melt. The Cayman was out in slushy left over snow today and it didn't melt. I wonder who started the rumor that Porsche's were only fair weather cars?

ENJOY it in all weather, except maybe hail.....

Thanks everyone!! I'm SO excited...and a little embarrassed to admit I couldn't sleep after 2am last night looking forward to driving it home today.

Rinty: like the snow pic!

Pirahna: would be very interested in the wheels

Joanne: I didn't buy it from Linda, no. Does she have one like it for sale? Though it's a bit soon to think of replacing it, I'd consider a different one if it had the supple leather option and heated seats

Very nice looking cab. Congrats!

I agree about ditching the wheels. I have a set of Fikse FM-10's with two track days on them and a set of super clean MY 2002 996 five spoker wheels for sale if you're interested in going 18 incher. This is part of a really big sale of stuff that I have that I am on the cusp of getting on the market.

Very nice. Congrats. I've been following several SoCal black cabs on Cars.com, AT.com, and CarGurus. com. Do you mind sharing which one it was? Any second thoughts?
