Thanks, Mark. I was hoping for the 17s, but I'll keep the 996 wheels in mind. Feel free to PM the details/price when you want to sell them.

600RR: Found it on craigslist. No second thoughts. I love cars, but an air-cooled 911 is the car I love more than any other! The impression that the sound of that '83 made as it wound out in first gear is as vibrant as the day I heard it And the 993 is (slightly) more modern interpretation combining some of the same sound and style in a little more livable package.

Congrats, I know you can't stop looking at it. I have had mine since march and I still think it is gorgeous every time I walk by it. Stowed away till the salt clears off the road now though.

Enjoy

Hey nice car sir.

But as a triple black owner - I'm a bit biased.

Triple black manual C2's are quite rare here in the UK so it took a while to find one for me. If its the same in the US then I can see why you snapped it up.

Mine has 17" Sport Classics on it, which I think look quite good.

Congrats again on your new 993.

Marc

failed

cant really get the hang of loading a pic for some reason. Its on flikr but I'm obviously doing something wrong.

No problem... Right click on the pic and "copy image location" then paste on the insert image icon and you're done. Nice cab

Welcome aboard! Caution: Sliding down the "Slippery Slope" is addictive! First, it'll be the wheels, then the tires, then the exhaust...

Congrats!
Don't be in too big a rush to replace the wheels. The existing wheels use taller rubber that gives a better indication of tire roll-over at the limits of grip and is therefore easier to know when you are at the limits. They also give a smoother street ride.
