I have both a Ctek and a Battery Tender for my cars and I have always used the cigarette lighter for convenience. Works fine over many years.

Cool, thanks guys. I ended up using the cigarette lighter plug...works great. I have the passenger window down a smidge, and the plug in is right there. Hopefully that does the trick.

+1 for CTEK. I've used a CTEK on my 993 for the past 6 years with no problems. CTEK chargers have an automatic setting for those of us with AGM batteries. My 993 is something of a pristine garage queen, out of the garage once or twice a month. Never a battery issue with the CTEK.

How many years of reliable service are you getting out of your batteries?
