Project Acid '98 C2S-Fuchs 17's

Thanks Tim. They are 17". I think you will lose some of the "deep dish" on narrow body and also 4s and TT's due to caliper size... The extra rubber ( sidewall) brings the look back to the 70's which is what I was looking for...my favorite angle....shows the barrels....

I really want to like them. I mean, I really, really, want to like them. And it hurts me that I can't.
They are, indeed, very 70s. Which is what Twin Screw wanted and achieved perfectly. But they look slightly out of place on a 90s 993. I think that glossy black finish and polished lip would be perfect on these wheels - similar to CurveLover's Sport Classics. I can, however, appreciate the thought and effort that's gone into this and the end result matching the initial idea.
Twin, what ratio tires did you end up with? They do look chunky.

You don't have to be so polite. To each his own...out of place is correct because it hasn't been done....19" and 18" Fuchs reduce the lip or barrel look which is really what attracted me to the Singer execution....it's interesting, if you take your thumbs and cover the headlights and tail lights tell me what you see...

Interesting exercise with headlights and taillights But the hips give it away.
I really like Singers (as opposed to all this RWB stuff). But I think I like most the long hood minimal look of them. It just seems so right.
As for 17s, I'm actually a big fan of 17s. 18s at the most. Speedster somehow looks fine on 19s, but I do not like them on other 993s. I like wide lips too. I'd be very curious to see what they'd look like if anyone would attempt to photoshop a polished lip onto your wheels.

Can't hide the hips even in black. JLo is JLo. Tire details tbd. I think RSR vs. chrome is a coke/Pepsi debate. A blacked out Fuchs on a black car IMO gets washed out and loses all definition. I love the black Fuchs on a white car.

Yes, this is a big point - I love shiny black centers with polished lips on my Speed Yellow cab. On a dark car - not as much.
BTW, no chrome. No, no, no! Just polished lip. I think that visually separates the black rim very nicely.

I think exterior color plays into this ( at least for me)... I contemplated chrome....really like the look.....landed on RSR for a throwback look and just got hooked on it as illustrated on Rob's Singer executions.
