Default Midnight Blue/ Black 993

"Too bad it's a tiptronic" comments asides. I thought I would only post this since it is rare. Been looking for a few months and this is the ONLY Midnight Blue/ Black 993 I have come across.

Some may differ, but personally, I like the combo. I see it somewhat common in the 997, but this is the only one I have come across in 993.

Although the tip wouldn't be my choice, I like the car. The price certainly seems reasonable, subject to a PPI. Perhaps I'm prejudiced as the owner of an Ocean Blue coupe.

There's no mention in the ad about the rocker panel with air vent in front of the rear wheels.

I have seen this car in person at CC and PCA gatherings, the car is solid and the seller is a straight up guy, the rocker panels are tech arts rocker panels I believe ..

My old sales manager at Audi steadfastly refused to order blue/black cars and inevitably called them "shiners". Not that i would agree, but it kind of stuck in my memory. Apparently not a very popular choice among buyers.

My favorite too.

I searched for well over a year for that color combination to no avail, then I found a 60K mile example that needed new carpets and switched to black with all OEM components (except for the GAHH carpet).

She is disgustingly dirty :-)

Regards,

.

Oh she's dirty alright. Look at the door jams. She will get the spa treatment this winter, and I'll dirty her up again next summer.

Best Regards,

.

Cemoto, thats gorgeous.

Did you get a complete interior from another car or was it piece by piece?

Midnight Blue with black interior is beautiful and uncommon. The car in the ad has some questionable mods but does have full leather (again, not that common on NB cars).

What do you consider questionable mods and why?

And to those people who don't get automatics, I guess those of us who have wonky left legs don't get to enjoy a Porsche and should just drive '94 Honda's, right? Go figure.

Why do you not get to enjoy a Porsche? It sounds to me like you get to enjoy them too, only at a discount.

People are so damn sensitive. Buy what you want, and enjoy it. Quit basing a thing's value on what others are willing to pay for it, and value it for what it does for you. Do you decide that your wife isn't good enough for you, just because people don't view her as a supermodel?

Questionable mods, IMHO, would be the Turbo spoiler (a little much on a narrow body and in need of something up front for a more balanced look), the 295/30 rear tires (might rub on a NB), the "premium wheels (what brand are they?), the side sills (again, just my opinion). NOTHING that can't be changed but they will make the car a harder sell (and most likely a better deal for the eventual buyer).

I made no comments on the Tip.
