I took off the Cayman S script on my 987 and replaced it with PORSCHE. I am thinking of doing the same on my 993 C4S.

Looks good on the Cayman. I wouldn't change up the 993. The Carrera badging on the 993 is very period appropriate, IMO.

Looking at the 991 pix and telling myself to let the looks of the car grow on me...don't be so critical...then I scroll down to ZAMIRZ's pic of the early S.....so pure.

I think you are right.

I know a few Cayman guys that have removed the 'Cayman' and just added 'P O R S C H E'. Looks classic.

OR maybe... Porsche didn't want you to confused with an Aston Martin/Audi TT! ;-)

If you all keep complaining, the next additional script on the back will be "A VW Group Car."

It appears when they were designing the rear end of the car, they couldn't decide what to keep and what to delete so someone forgot to delete the from the CAD display and that's the way the car was built. Way too "Wordy" but provides lots of letters for kids to try to scrape off!

The rear of the OP's post looked that way because someone wanted it to look that way. My C2S has PORSCHE with 911 under it. That is one less letter than the long hood car in post #4. Porsche gives you a choice. That's a good thing, right?

I enjoy seeing a simple "993" or "911". So simple. Second fav. is "Carrera". I've read shorter books than the novel on the back of that car.

Ha! This. My first thought was that they didn't want it to be confused with the Panamera.

I'm starting to form the impression that you guys don't approve of the 991.
