So I have finished the suspension mods for a while (PSS10's, Walrod bushings, Sumi's, corner balanced) and now I'm moving on to some cosmetics. I want to change my C4S rear grill to the split C2S grill. I also want to keep my original grill in decent condition. Can I just get left, right and middle pieces, paint them and swap out or would it be better to get the whole deck lid ? Any good sources for parts ( I know of Pelican and Suncoast) would be appreciated as well. Thanks.
I have not done this but have read about it. The search I did on here would indicate that you have to remove your old grill, basically remove from the adhesive, and replace with the three parts you mentioned. Most daunting part of install seems to be the removal of the factory adhesives. Ideally, I would like to find a grand prix white one and just swap the entire unit. An expensive alternative for sure.
Why not just paint your stock C4S engine grill from black to body color? It's more C4S correct and adds a nice subtle touch. it's probably simpler, easier and less expensive than the C2S grill to do as well, and I think it looks just as good
Hi
I have purchased a C2S rear for my C2.
The lid and grill need to be painted to match my car, so I stripped the 3 components (2 grills and center bit) for painting. These components are glued in very well with sicker flex or similar, and I required a electric tool to remove the glue. It was a bit of a job and but can be achieved and the components can be reused.
Yes the C2S components (2 grills and center bit) can be used on a C2.

Never seen that look before. Looks good on silver. Not so sure on black....I guess it would just gloss up the plastic a bit but nice to have options.
From: nowhere, but at least I'm getting there fast!
I replaced my turbo S wing with a used split grill and deck I bought used and had painted. The deck with grills was priced very reasonably, so it didn't cost much more than going back to stock. But if I already had a deck, I must admit I agree with Goofball: simply paint yours body color, a cheap and elegant solution. Whatever you do, don't add a baskethandle!

Reason: to makes it sound mo' beter
Replace your stock grill and wing as a complete unit.
This is much easier to do and you can return to stock if you like.
Thats what I did. Found someone selling a complete Arctic silver split rear pannel. OK so colour isn`t a perfect match but a blind man couldn`t tell the difference.
Much prefer the split grill.

I had the inserts painted darker than Polar Silver. It looks lighter or darker depending on the light and angle. I also kept the original spoiler, which is easy to reinstall.
