I like the contrast on the silver car with the "center bit" painted body color. Would like to see other photos of cars with contrasting colors.

Your two-tone idea looks really nice.

If its in your budget split grille for sure, somehow visually the rear end looks wider with it. If not, obviously just get it painted.

Any guards red C2 owners out there with a painted rear grill? Post pics please.
My car is going into the body shop to remove the basket handle soon.
I thought I might paint the grill also. Sorry for digging up this old thread.
Thanks!

The split grill is sacred. It has a marine skeletal look to it in such a subtle way.

Not mine, but a Google search turned this up.

I love my 1 piece black spoiler, theres a reason why Porsche went back to an all black spoiler in the new models because it reflects the old cars. The contrast breaks up the rear end so perfectly.

this is a photo of mine. I had the split grill a few years before painting and installing it. I like the standard and split grill.

To me the original one looks plasticky on a black car. I went split black but I like even painting the stock one so that it at least looks glossy. On other colors it does kind of break things up but still.....

Love the marine skeleton comment, great imagination !
