Really? The IIIs? That's what most seem to say about the Is and IIs while they say the IIIs are much louder. In fact, the owner whose IIs I heard had the IIIs and didn't care for them so traded them for the IIs. Interesting.
I may look into a cat bypass or 100 cell cats.

Yeah like I stated, it's very subjective. The IIIs are louder and are perfect for my ears. I don't think they are obnoxious at all. Now, cat bypass?.....

Cat bypasses on SCs, 3.2s, and 964s don't do much at all to change the sound but I know the 993 exhaust is totally different. I'm used to being at the track where it's mostly straight pipes so like you I'm probably a little more tolerant (meaning I like) louder exhausts.

I had the same setup on mine and yes it sounded awesome, especially at WOT!
Car is gone now and these parts are laying in my storage room.

I had the fab speed sport cats 200 cell with x pipe to pair of fabspeed max flows. I tried fister stage 3 but way too loud ESP on a cab. Loved my set up at all rpms.
