So be it. But I still declare for all to hear that the bi-plane wing is possibly the single fugliest add-on to a 911 ever created. It looks like the car was rear-ended by a satellite dish. It is a total violation of all aesthetic standards, and especially the aesthetic standards of the 993. I wouldn't put it on a Firebird it's so ludicrous. That tail should come with a GPS-activated driveblock device that prevents you from doing anything but cruising the Miami Beach strip.
Sure i dislike the ricer bi / tri / Quad plane wings also - except when they have their place..... I drive some slow sh1tter with a GT2 Tail. Is my car a ricer?
Some might say so - but DILLIGAF? I like it and thats what counts!
As mentioned - the RUF pictured actually needs it - is it as tasteful as say a nice split grilled "S" rear?
That is a matter of opinion - (and i do agree) but for effs sake - its not like it was on a '95 tip 993 running stock monroes - its on a one off Ruf. And one that was BUILT for Speed!
Is it beautiful? That too is a matter of opinion but jeebus I would hardly call it a "ricer!!"
FWIW - I Loooooove the look of an "s" with the stock tail..... Something about that butt
If loving tail is wrong, I don't want to be right.
I also love them with out tails.
I have seen 993's with tails that just look amazing and others that don't.
The 95 cup car dropped a full second lap time when it went to the RSCS wing and an alignment tweak. Not to mention they looked Sooo much sexier then the 94 in my opinion.
I do recall seeing a 930 turbo wing on a 993 body kit ad in Excellence in the 90's and saying to myself that it looked cool. Go for it!!
There are a lot of aesthetic mods that I wouldn't do on my cars but to say they are taistless is weak. Kinda like 996 wheels on a 993, I don't care for them but respect those that do.
Wow, functional or not the yellow RUF tail is pretty hideous. Okay on a race track if it helps you win.
Remember the old Chaparral cars? Not the best looking rides, but they set the bar for aero vehicles.
