Fiat 500 abarth! Still have a grin on my face, great little car. Will possibly be a daily commuter. Any one here have any personal experience with this car?

I took a new one for a test drive last year, by myself, on a twisty hill road. I was stunned at the amount of sheer mechanical grip it had. It just wouldn't let go - even a bit.
Tight cabin though. Bits of it kept digging into my legs. But a very fun car as long as it's kept in the right gear. I thought the build quality was good for the price too. I'd have an Abarth over an Audi A1, I reckon.

Underwhelmed overall. Liked the exhaust note but that was it. Had to be pushed hard to get the best out of the engine. Sluggish starting off which surprised me. Fit and finish were poorer than I expected for this top-of-the-range car from Fiat. Visibility wasn't great either thanks to the chunky A-pillar. YMMV

I loved it! great for a daily beater, HOWEVER the blind spots really suck and i think a mini cooper would be better which is a shame as i really like the Fiat...
It made me think how good a 993 C2 tiptronic would be my favorite all round commuter...

I've had a standard 500 a few times as rentals.
B/C pillar makes it nearly impossible to see out rear 3/4 view.
switchgear and gauges are poor ergonomically.
They rank as #1 or #2 for worst rental car experience. hmmmmm there was that chevy aveo a few years ago, that as the worst.
Not the car for me but I see big smiles on the drivers.

Did a car swap with a coworker who has one coming back from lunch this week.
Loved the exhaust note almost enough to justify the car alone
For me the seat was comfortable.
Hated the torque steer when the boost came on.
Boost gauge and shift light cool but very poorly located requiring you to look down and left.
Rides like its a Fiat 500
Lots of fun but could get trying after awhile.
