You don't change your own wiper blades?

(sorry)

This was one of the items that Tony Callas noted that my car was missing on its first visit there. He was not pleased.

Any recommendations for the best wipers? Due to relatively short driver's side 15" blade I often end up with the cheap replacements.......

I had the rubber bumper on the old C2 and now on the current C2S. They require the oval slot on the OEM blades.
If arms are correctly installed they should meet (or close) at bottom of windshield.

OEM as far as I'm concerned.

The PO of my car fitted the rubber bumper on the top (long) wiper and it doesn't contact the other wiper. I can't get the rubber bumper to fit in the oval hole of the lower (short) wiper to match H.H.Chinn's description. The ovals of the lower oval hole are narrower than the top oval holes. Are my wipers from an after market brand or are they fitted incorrectly?

Hi, are you sure that your wipers are not swapped --- lower for upper and upper for lower? Here's the way mine looks. Note that my upper wiper does not have a provision for the rubber bumper while my lower one does.

Those look like the Bosch wipers you can get most places. They're not genuine Porsche, if that's important to you. You'll see that the frame is a different design than genuine ones referenced by the OP. Part number for the genuine article is 993-628-901-00.

I've had the Bosch ones like you before and was able to get the buffer to fit in one of the oval holes in the lower wiper. It doesn't fit in those as well as the Porsche blades, bit it does work.

Hmm. My wipers don't sit nearly as close to each other as what is pictured here. My upper wiper sits about 1.5" above the lower wiper, and it bugs the hell out of me. Maybe I'm just in need of an adjustment...

Like mpruden said, my wipers are not OEM. I checked pelican parts and their diagram puts the longer wiper on top in a left-hand-drive setup.

Thanks mpruden! I don't care if they are OEM as long as they work.

I'll try installing the bumper in the lower wiper again. I didn't want to use too much force on the wiper last night. It may be that the bumper has hardened with age as well.

I was able to stuff the rubber bumper in the Bosch wiper's oval hole. It took some prodding with a pick tool. Thanks for the info mpruden!
