Cam .. a slightly off topic question, can you provide some details on the bike rack?

Thanks, Frank

Frank I'll be honest with you instead of this Thule rack you should buy this:

www.seasucker.com

If I had known about this rack first I wouldn't have bought my Thule...

Yes, let's not forget Zenith Blue Metallic! I think it's darker than Iris, and also has hints of purple depending on the angle, light etc.

The way I see it, the blues, darkest to lightest: Midnight, Ocean, Zenith, Iris then Riviera.

Would love to see them side by side in this order in person!

I don't know about the seasucker...have to be fork mount on the roof, and wheel mount on the rear glass. Call me old school with the roof racks, love the concept, doubt I'd ever buy one.

for traditional rack details...search for 993 thread titled "rack back to level", or search posts started by me

My wife had an Ocean Blue on Black 986, it was an amazing combo. I love all the Blues as well as Oak Green and Adventure Green. I will 100% hold out for one of these colors in my next p-car.

I had a shot at an Oak Green 993 but it didn't work out logistically. Still kicking myself on that one.

Ocean is the way to go if you like dark blue as midnight is too close to black and the other blue hurs too light

Actually, I was thinking just the opposite. Ocean has a green tint which I'm not sure I would like. I guess I I'd have to see it in person.

It must be the lighting because the Zenith blue I have seen looks like it has grey of silver in it, and not purple. That looks more like what I remember Iris blue being.

Default Ocean blue metallic

I've had my Ocean blue coupe 10+ years and couldn't be happier with the choice. As soon as I saw the color, that's what I wanted. Although the color tones change with variations in lighting, I've never really noticed the green highlights mentioned by others.

Maybe my wife's assertion that I don't have very good color sense is right after all. But, for the record, she also admires Ocean blue.

I believe this may be Zenith Blue. It is one of the colors that can look very different depending on lighting and picture conditions. Here are a few of my car under different conditions to show the variations.

Default Ocean blue metallic will look purple under certain light

Regarding ocean blue (OB) metallic, I'm surprised other OB owners haven't mentioned how bright, dark purple the paint can appear. I haven't seen much of the green highlights, but I often see the purple come out.

Would it be safe to say it's pretty rare next to impossible to find an OB or MB with a black interior?

Seems most are either blue, beige or grey interiors.

Interesting, I never saw the Purple in my '97 OB 993. I did see the green. But OB, is a beautiful choice for sure!
