Default midnight blue vs. ocean blue

Does anyone know the difference? Does anyone happen to have a photo with the two side by side? I've also heard of Iris blue. Is this similar to midnight or ocean blue?

In the top photo by JPS, I assume the coupe is Midnight and the cab is Iris, yes?

Does anyone know where Ocean fits in? Darker, lighter?

Also, don't forget Zenith blue. I think it is a lot like Iris blue with less purple, but both are not as dark as Midnight or Ocean. To my eye Midnight is darkest, almost black, while Ocean has a little more blue tones and is lighter, though not as light as either Zenith or Iris.

That's what I'm thinking too. Thanks.

My opinion:
Midnight = Very dark blue, closest to black. Undertone is sort of black, but nearly iridescent sometimes going blue, black, purplish (but never Barney).
Ocean = Nearly as dark as Midnight, but undertone is dark green. Think how ocean is blue, but sort of greenish very slightly.
Iris = More solid blue, some have said a similar iridescent that sometimes tinges purple
Zenith = I've never seen up close

And yes, in the thread referenced, the coupe is Midnight, the cab is Iris.

Zenith is the lightest by far;

Here's my Ocean Blue Metallic (yes there is a green tone to the paint but ever so slight):

My edits to JPS's descriptions.

Pretty interesting, and cool, that none of the colors are just "That **** is just blue".

Ocean is somewhat more dynamic than midnight in the sense that it really changes dramatically depending on the light and angle. Sometimes it can look purple, to bright blue to dark blue and to black. Ocean was only used in 97 and 98, to my knowledge.

Rome is "dead on" for Ocean Blue, I have to look each time I see my Ocean Blue C2S and love the "chameleon" effect with the changing with the light source and the angle of view!
