Fall is here, and the heat is on
Stealing a line from the 997 to 993 thread...
"Will you need heat? More than likely, you'll get a blast of burn oil smell from the heater as any oil leak will likely find its way to the heat exchanger."
Well, 92K miles and no oil leaks-slight weeping at the chain covers, but I digress. Woke up to temps in the low to mid thirties this morning, with the forecast getting up into the 60's and sunny. The C4S is the DD most days, this morning was no different.
Anyway, my point...I've always LOVED the heat these air cooled 911's make. I never owned a 911 with heated seats, but have had them in everything else I could have them in. Anyway, the heat reminds me of sitting around a wood stove, or being in a good heated seat. It just envelops you in the car, in a good way.
the crisp fall air, the instant heat from my air cooled flat six, and oh yea...that slight wiff of burning oil. I love fall.
Magic everyday baby

The car really doesn't see much use in REAL winter months, no snows mounted, etc. Standard M1 15w-50 is still in her, that won't change. It started snowing here on Friday, roads are already crap. The car will make the short trip from the front garage to the back shed very soon.
