Quiet the car down, temporarily!

Quiet the car down, temporarily!
I am going to Laguna Seca in a few weeks. They have a 92 dB sound limit. I have Fabspeed 200 cell sport cats and X pipe as well as FD Motorsports Stage 1 mufflers. I think I can make sound, but not 100% certain. I don't want to get black flagged for sound and sent home.
I have two alternatives:
1. Replace the 200 cell cats and Fabspeed X pipes with the stock cat, temporarily,
2. Replace the FD Stage 1s with stock mufflers, temporarily.
3. Looking at a set of Fabspeed MaxFlow muffs, used.
The muffler swap out would be the easiest....I would think, stock probably the best choice.
I wonder which alternative above would reduce the sound the most? Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your input.

If you're close, you might try just exhaust tips that are turned away from whatever side the sound measurement location is.
Or as Bill W. (IIRC) did many years ago, he mounted kitchen sink drains on his supercups. And actually noted better low end torque...

I, too, remember that Bill Walczak did this. Believe it was at Lime Rock.

I'd say either turndowns (what most of us use on our autocross appliances to make sound) or Supertrapp tips.
If you are close now turndowns might do the trick and they are cheap enough.

Hey there Marty,
I was considering/planning going to LagaSeca last year (excited actually as it has been years since) with the Trackmeister and then decided against it after the feedback I got from some folks here on the DE forum. My SC has a pretty conservative exhaust: SSIs with a 2:1 sport muffler, which seems like it would be fine, but a few said with LS' roving meter, I could get black-flagged (as they had). Yikes, the last thing I want to do is pay the track fees, then get meatballed off the track; or alternatively pay the fees but only "tiptoe" around that gorgeous race venue lest I get caught at WOT.
Not really much a help to you, but just offering the point that LS has gotten very restrictive (ahem, Draconian may be more accurate) of late ...a real turnoff to me. Hope it works for ya, friend!

laguna seca...
They are pretty tough on sound. For X weekends a year, you can run sound unrestricted...one of those events is coming up this weekend...POC has purchased a 35 car run session....all is well until the $$$ are considered, $1,110 for 2 days. And BTW, the following weekend is when I am running with Northern California Racing Club at about 1/3 of the cost...
