My Other Car is a Porsche
Here are some photos of the two Porsches together. My wife and I both work in the same building. Normally we car pool to work, but today we had very different work schedules. So in honor of Drive Your Porsche we brought both cars to work. It is actually the first time we have had both cars out and about since we bought the 356 in January.

Man I miss those 993 and 356 days....
Great picture! The official Drive your 356 day is Sept. 19th so you'll have to do it again!
I'll be in the garage 'driving' (pushing) one of our 356 scale models around the 993 and Cayman.

Here is another one. I like how this photo shows the lines and how similar they are. Such as the pinch of the rear side windows, and the line from the engine cover down to the wheel wells. The 993 definitely has much bigger hips, but you can clearly see relationship.

I actually thought Drive Your Porsche Day was 16 Sep this year. Our scheduled worked in such a way that we could both drive one of the Porsches today, and we jumped at the opportunity.
Having two Porsches is both good and bad. I was really excited to have a classic Porsche in the garage, but the old cars can be nerve racking to drive sometimes. Every time I pull into traffic I think just how the 356 is really a tiny car with none of the modern safety designed into it.
I also have to confess, while I really enjoy the 356 in my heart I am a 911 guy. My wife thinks it a joke, but I am saving for a long hood.

Joe,
I still have the Kinesis wheels, right now I have my winter tires on them. I actually like them better than the wheels in the photos.
Matt, it was actually your post about purchasing your 356 which inspired me to start looking at them myself. At first I was looking for an A, but later expanded to either an A or a C. I just happened to find a C in my price range first.

For the club(s) it's usually the Sunday before Ferry's B-day and that's tomorrow the 16th since Ferry's B-day is on a Wednesday this year and its sort of hard to get folks together for a run on a work day. Drive your 356 days historically has been on Ferry's B-day so you do it on the day you can. I miss the days of driving the 356 out to some really pretty location, stopping to take a few pictures and then sending them to the 356 registry for publication. Ahhhhh.... The fun days of being 'retired'. We NEED another 356 and one day I'll be retired..... again..... (lol)
I know what your talking about in regards to drive the 356 and the lack of the feeling of safety. To me just having a lap belt (and the lack of other safety features) made me feel somewhat uneasy.
