I was quoted allot more than the OP paid by a well known and respected RL sponsor. Almost twice your number. That did not include shipping.

I used standard sliders (not ready to pay 150euros for a pair of slider...).
Yes mounting was a pain in the butt even though I did pay for Recaro brand sliders and side mounts. The belt receptors are mounted to the side mount (my tech just made a bracket). It's a very tight fit but they are in between the seat and the center console. Now that the seats are in the car pics of how they are mounted to the slider are impossible sorry.

Absolutely yes but it's obviously subjective. If your use is mostly track no probably not but for me easy decision over vinyl or cloth. My car even smells new again.

Another thought on leather vs cloth... these seats have a limited shelf life for track use, so if you're thinking from that perspective, leather is a big investment for a throwaway item.

Maybe, maybe not. At the very least for racing you can opt for a back brace. I don't, and those I most trust as builders don't recommend it. But the option is available through most sanctioning bodies.

For DE? I'm not going to speak for any organizers, but I've been placed to instruct in many a car that has outdated seats installed. (Which I'll accept as a minor concern when compared to being told to instruct a convertible, or car that's somehow passed tech with incorrectly installed harnesses.)

Yeah, understood that the concern will vary by use, organizer, etc.
