Thumbs up Recaro Pole Position Seats

Just getting around to posting these. Love them. Install took longer than expected and I've since added the Recaro harness pads as the angle of the seat belt across my neck gave me visions of decapitation and was uncomfortable to say the least.

The wife does not much enjoy the in/out process around town and because of the pronounced rake (which I prefer) she now stares mostly at the wipers or sky wherever we go (another mod she didn't exactly love!). Oh well

Anyone need 8-way factory power seats...I'd be surprised.

Love, love, love! Best buckets for a 993 IMO. Why not tilt the passenger seat down a bit for the wife?

It's not so bad actually and for anyone else that rides in them the cradle angle they're set at now is perfect. It's is pretty funny though she's only 5.3 and 105lbs, she looks like a toddler in a stroller lol.

Love my Speedster RS seats which are very similar. Requires a degree of flexibility to get in and out of without looking clumsy. The ergo's of the body hugging design are great although adjustments for height and angle are limited to the holes in the support frame.

For those of you considering a set - make sure your waist size is 36 or under. Otherwise you might be a little uncomfortable in them...

BTW when my wife (5'5" 110lbs) rode in the car she brought a little throw pillow to sit on. Made her experience much more pleasant

No the leather version is more. I shopped around quite a bit and found them in stock online and ended up around $1170/seat then sliders, aluminum side mounts ended up around $2900 delivered (no tax).

And since I can't turn a wrench 3 hours or so tech time by the time we were done so out the door $3200+. Not a cheap upgrade by any measure but worth it to me...those power seats are heavy as hell.

I was also worried about knock off's but the Motorsports dealer I bought from is reputable and known. I only bought from them though because they were several hundred per seat less (perhaps wanting to get rid of stock).

Seems Recaro has a new "authentication" sticker also...

Looks great!

For the $ spent I think that's good value, sometimes you don't really realize how much more driving feedback you can feel thru upgrades seats.

I would have to agree, paired with a race harness, like mio, it changes everything!

I'll raise you a similarly sized wife, riding along in a '92 C4 with Kirkeys, sans padding. All because my truck threw an oil line halfway home coming back from Buttonwillow. Lucky I had treaded tires along to mount up; no way would I have chanced 100+ miles running Hoosiers.

I agree, although I might have been tempted to powder coat the slide frames just to look a little more integrated.

Love them too !!!!

Still struggling with the belt receptacle installation in the middle. COuld you take a pic of your instal ? did you use the recaro part (visible on the PET) or maybe the recaro sliders with integrated fixation ?

I used standard sliders (not ready to pay 150euros for a pair of slider...).
