More like raped...

All kidding aside, I agree with what has been said previously. The 991 is an amazing car, but when I think of a pcar, the 991's lines are stretching those boundaries a bit.

I found this video very enjoyable to watch. Hope it's not too far off topic.

Sorry, but the 993 looks like it was designed by a committee assigned to make the aging classic 911 competitive in its marketplace, a clear end of the road that started with big bumpers. Only the 993 interior with its "where is there room to stick that'? design is less integrated.

Ok this comment might be the silliest and most completely devoid of rational thought on RL in quite awhile....and that include the Riv Blue "saga"

there is a great book if you want to understand how the 993 came about and the talented individuals that masterfully executed it:

Agreed. I will say that the 991 looks better in person, especially in black, but I much prefer the 993.

Gotta say that I have always lusted for a wide body 993. The new 991 doesn't do it for me. Your 993 is a beauty.

Yeah, they really blew it in the design department with the 993, huh?

A few marques have had a few iconic models. Ferrari has had a bunch, Bentley, a few from waay back and so on.. Among Porsche's icons is the 993TT. They have not had another production car since that fits that description. My 991S is a fabulous car, but I have no illusions that it will become a car that becomes as desireable 15 yrs out.

The 993 is so much more of an organic evolution of the 911 whereas the 997 is a contrived and mass produced caricature of the new breed of 911s.
