I have a few sets coming this week for the initial orders. It is currently taking around 2-3 weeks to get a set in. Another week for ceramic coating.
I will have to get the cab for Stage II db levels as I didn't have that combo on my car (stock cat/Stage II.) I can throw some stock mufflers on and get db readings on that as well (stock cat/stock muffs.)

Please keep me posted Darin as I may save the time and just order yours if they are available soon enough. Do you have a lead time to crank one out? I have booked time with a local race shop dyno for a comparrison if you like and can share the results.
Contact me via email at fdmotorsports@comcast.net and we can work out some details.
I would like to do some dyno testing in the future with multiple set ups, even though gains could be attributed to replacing a 16 year old cat with a new one, so I'm not sure how much weight it will carry.

That will be coming. I didn't have a set of Stage Is in the shop.

Wow, they are generous!

This video is our 200 cell sport cats with Stage III mufflers. Very aggressive and LOUD! Loud from start up to WOT. It sounds amazing but it is RACE CAR loud. Still NO DRONE or RESONANCE.

Here are the cats after a week on the car. This discoloration is normal.
I will be removing them for ceramic coating in the near future.
Might want to change the title to the Stage II sound byte. Says 220 cell instead of 200 cell.

I'm now convinced Stage II was the right choice.

I love the ending of your videos. The iPhone distorts the moving image and makes your car look like a cartoon. Very cool effect! Great choice in soundtrack too

Is it Stage IIs with stock cats?
If so, here you go: I just got those readings today The ones I don't have is stock mufflers with stock cats, stock mufflers with sport cats, or Stage I with both types of cats.

Stage II w/stock cats : Idle 69.1 db, @4500 rpm : 95.4 db
Stage III w/stock cat.: Idle: 75.1 db, @4500 rpm : 99.1 db
Stage II w/sport cats.: Idle: 76.5 db, @4500 rpm: 100.1 db
Stage III w/sport cats: Idle: 79.9 db, @4500 rpm: 101.4 db

Ditto, but without the stage oil. I found that stage oil is good for 40 foot kneeslides if you are a dancer for Liza Minelli or Niel Patrick Harris, but not good for exhaust.
To clarify, just interested in the Fister cat setup.

I couldn't find stock numbers for db so I got a cheapmeter.
1996 C4S stock motor, turbo intake trumpet piece.
idle 66db
3000 rpm 80 db
4500 rpm 85 db

All measured at 15 ft distance roughly the same height as exhaust while car was stationary.

Do these seem reasonable?

I will do a cabin test tomorrow.

I think that may be a decent ballpark.

Stock muffler/stock cat: Idle 66 db, @4500 rpm : 85 db*
Stage II w/stock cat : Idle 69.1 db, @4500 rpm : 95.4 db
Stage III w/stock cat.: Idle: 75.1 db, @4500 rpm : 99.1 db
Stage II w/sport cats.: Idle: 76.5 db, @4500 rpm: 100.1 db
Stage III w/sport cats: Idle: 79.9 db, @4500 rpm: 101.4 db

Wow!

Darin, great work on the sport cat setup, it looks killer and sounds incredible with the stage IIIs.
I'm sure that there is some good power gains above 4000rpm, the piping is so direct and the 200 cell cats must flow extremely well.

Do you fell like your car pulls harder to redline with the sports cats versus stock cat??

I can't wait to order this setup, I've already made my mind up after the pics and videos. Thanks for making seriously awesome products for our cars brotha
