If that's skepticism, here's the link to my 2008 drive home to Pittsburgh from Indianapolis:

You might notice that user C4S4ME says to me "Hey, take care of my baby":

And he's the same guy who posted the original:

I haven't been around here for a while, but you guys got grumpy!

That is awesome you re-upped Matt. One of the great things about RL, is that membership has its privileges, one of them being we don't end up a parking lot for FS cars.

Thanks, Ed.
I haven't been looking, and I don't know how serious I am about selling.
I would really appreciate a ballpark figure for my 1996 C4S to figure out whether or not I should really list it for sale.
I welcome any thoughts!

Can't help looking at that thread from May-08 advertising the C4S w/ 53k ml for $45k.
The same 53k C4S is worth low to mid $50k today!!!

Color combo makes a difference too i think. Alot of black and silver ones out there....gorgeous yes, timeless yes,but it does seem the more normal color's with that mileage WB's are SELLING in the forties.

Wow, that's too bad. The stock stereo is atrocious aesthetically and to the ear.
I kept mine stock for 9 years.. But when the rear speaker finally blew, I redid the whole system to accommodate ipod, satellite, bt... and the sound is now amazing.
Made my driving enjoyment double.

Having an aftermarket deck that accepts ipod or gives satelite radio is a bonus if it is your only driver but looks out of place in a now classic car. I can do without considering i have newer vehicles with better sound systems for when i wanna rock out.
The 993 is for when i wanna drive.
My biggest problem with a 993 that has a stereo is the following:
cables all zip tied under the dash to the back of cd player.
hole drilled in firewall for power cable.
carpets and carpet glue disturbed to run wires in the rear.
Panels removed and installed that can rattle or squeak with time.
Nothing worse then a car with dead speaker cables left under the carpets etc...
