I've got two pairs that I've had for at least 4 years-no problems at all for casual driving, I'm bummed they are defunct.

I also heard they went 'belly up'. Stable Energies in NJ (online ordering too) still has some inventory available if anyone is interested:

I have had my Pilotis (Tifosi) 1.5 yrs and I have worn them as daily shoes with virtually no problem. Only a little cleaning with a cloth and they continue to be as new (for their age).

My two purchases of Piloti shoes were a disappointment. Expensive and quality just missed the mark for the price. Merrell's Barefoot series gets my nod for driving shoes.

Mine fell apart today. Piloti appears to be in business still because their website is there and I get constant spam from them.

Wow talk about thread resurrection !
Had mine since 2009.
The gel pad for the heel came off some years ago. Otherwise wearing nicely over the years, since its only used for spirited drives.
Certainly made for a talking point, when I met Alois Ruf at Goodwood.

I have a pair for 20 years now and they are not falling apart anywhere, but my soles do look like post #22 as one would expect.

They are my favorite shoe, they fit like a glove, and I've been waiting for Piloti to reissue them. They have 1000's of driving miles on them.

If you like them and the way they fit, get some Shoe Goo on them and you're good to go!
