Spare FOB (with immobilzer/key/switchbalde) may be gone forever

a Porsche dealer with the car, and proof that you are the registered owner. You should encounter no problems as long as you have not made any changes to the Immobilizer.

Order the new remote transponder in advance as well as a key blank.

Any remote can be programmed to your immobilizer as long as your ignition switch is in good operating condition (I have run into problems with that before).

I bought my replacement remote fob from Suncoast. I programmed it myself once the dealer provided me the codes. It was pretty simple and there are several threads here to help you.

The good thing is, once you reprogram the car for the new remotes, the old lost remote will not work with the car - the reprogramming wipes the memory and re-registers all the remotes at you go through them one by one. That means if someone finds your old remote, they cannot get into the car with it.

You must remember to gather each and every of your remaining key fobs to be all reprogrammed along with the new one(s).
