Going to try a torn bumper cover repair
Hi Folks,
I just purchased a plastic welding iron and the plastic melt rods to go with it.
Here is the supplier web site with great info and how-to videos:
https://www.urethanesupply.com/Bumpe...t/bumperid.php
My rear bumper has a torn skirt at the bottom edge due to grounding on a steep driveway. The damage is limited and does not run up into the larger curves of the upper section of the cover.
What led me to this was the purchase of a cheap air spry gun to paint my son's Accent bumper cover and I found the painting to be quite easy to do.
A tip is to get help from a local automotive paint supply counter for color match and application materials.
Wish me luck,
I'll keep you posted.
Andy
