I'm partial to silver but just about any color 993 is my favorite.

Slate grey for me. But as others have said, I would be happy with a 993 in just about any color.

Agreed on both counts (though white is another classic German racing color). Porsche also uses silver cars a lot in press and internal material and F.A. Porsche I believe has gone on record stating that silver accentuates the 911's lines best of all colors - even though his personal cars were mostly dark colors I think.

FWIW, Dieter Rams, one of the most important German contemporary industrial designers (Braun) always drives polar silver narrow body 911 coupes...

Silver, White, Black, Red are all safe colors but a little common and plane, no offense. IMHO Arena Red, Vesuvius, Slate Gray and Garnite Green are the prettiest and would be my color of choice.

There are other colors that are flashy and look good as well, Rivi Blue and Speed Yellow come to mind, but I wouldn't live with a color that screams look at me.

Color combo is key. imo..... Silver is nice but not with light gray interior. Silver/Black real nice... Silver/Boxster Red is amazing!!
Speed Yellow/Black NICE!
Black/Black.. Nice
Black/Light Gray.... its ok
Gray/Black,,, very Nice!
Gray/Light Gray...Not so nice
Its all subjective...... This is just my opinion

Here's a pretty rare colour...Apparently a concept from 1998, but I really doubt
this car ever existed...Looks like a Photoshop Special.

Iris Blue was the colour of the Frankfurt show car when the 993 was introduced to the public. Funnily enough earlier this summer at Goodwood I ran into the chap who owns it these days and had a nice chat:
